My name is Antony Watson.
I currently live in Lisbon, Portugal, and spend a large part of my time writing about, and roasting coffee.
Following a varied career in print journalism and communications, I took a sabbatical to embark on a two-wheeled odyssey through three continents to the cradle of coffee, Ethiopia.
My journey took me through a kaleidoscope of diverse cultural traditions that surround the preparation and consumption of coffee – all of which have been documented in a self-published book.
From dedicating intensive hours in the pursuit of expressing a coffee’s unique character in the roastery to delivering editorial impact for a variety of audiences, my two creative passions literally go hand-in-hand.
This blog is an account of my journey into coffee so far…
